Isn't Thanksgiving the same thing for both Americans and Canadians? You'd think that BUT, our two countries celebrate them on 2 different dates! WTF.
Canadians celebrate Thanksgiving on the second Monday in October, while Americans celebrate on the fourth Thursday of November. To be honest, can't we all agree to one date? (I guess not)
I'm no history buff, but from what I understand, Canada & the USA have two different dates because harvest in Canada traditionally comes earlier than in America but I'm not 100% certain on this. So if you're really interested you can Google it to find out why and let me know!
Either way, I just know it's just damn confusing and If I had my way, I'd just celebrate it twice! Anyone else be good with this? (I guess I wouldn't want to clean the dishes twice, but other than that, what would be wrong with it ? ) 😄
